The Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition (TTPC) will hold their semi-annual Statewide Membership Meeting in Nashville Saturday, Jan. 14. The organization will elect officers for 2012 and discuss priorities for the year.
TTPC will also discuss many issues: the status of the Federal Employment Non Discrimination Act (ENDA), numerous bills in the Tennessee General Assembly, including TTPC’s birth certificate and hate crimes bills, along with numerous discriminatory bills, as well as updates on various local efforts across the state.
The meeting updates will also include information about the legal case, Howe v. Haslam, in which TTPC is a co-plaintiff to defend the right of local governments to adopt non-discrimination legislation.
The meeting starts at 1 p.m. Those interested in attending can contact TTPC through their website for more information.
