Kevin Thornton will host an event at OutLoud! Bookstore on Monday, Oct. 11, and he will read passages from his book based on his one-man show "Sex, Dreams & Self Control." This free event, which begins at 7 p.m., is happening on National Coming Out Day and Thornton will be using this platform to upport the It Gets Better Project. Anyone who wants to contribute to the project will be recorded Monday night, and the finished copy will be posted on YouTube.
Thornton will also introduce new material for his show, "An Evening with Kevin Thornton," scheduled for Nov. 20 at PLAY Dance Bar on Church St. Jen Foster has provided a copy of her new song “This Is Me” which will be also played at the event. The song has been embraced by the HRC for this year’s National Coming Out Project, and will be featured on Foster’s upcoming album due out early next year.
