Charles Edward Lightsey, aged 44, passed away December 23, 2008, after a brief illness.
Eddie, as he was known to many friends and family, was born January 23, 1964, in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Samford University in 1988. Eddie made his home in Nashville eleven years ago and worked in public relations. Also, he enjoyed his work at the Belmont Mansion and was active in the Nashville Grizzlies Rugby Football Club, the Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce and the Tennessee Equality Project.
Eddie relished reading, music and movies and was a true connoisseur of the performing and culinary arts.
Eddie was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Alice and survived by his father, Charles, stepmother, Billie, sister, Sandra, and favorite niece, Andrea, all of Marion, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, 419 Woodland Street, Nashville, on Friday, December 26, 2008 at 4 pm.
