Nashville Pride will kick off its 2005 Pride season with the Third Annual Martinis and Jazz fundraiser.

“Martinis & Jazz provides us the opportunity not only to raise funds,” said Nashville Pride President Michael Bassham, “but to also raise awareness about the organization’s plans for 2005.”

Martinis & Jazz is expected to draw more than 100 people for an intimate evening of cocktails and fine music. The event is held each year at a private residence near downtown Nashville . Admission to Martinis & Jazz is $25.00 per person, which includes complimentary martinis and hors d’oeuvres. Representatives of Nashville Pride will be on hand to speak about the 2005 Pride calendar and to answer questions about Pride events.

Organizers will also use Martinis and Jazz to recognize the major sponsors for upcoming 2005 Pride season.

“This event gives us the chance to acknowledge many of the individuals and corporations who have offered the tremendous financial support necessary to produce the annual Pride Festival,” said Martinis & Jazz Chair, Matthew Strader.

Companies such as American Home Mortgage and many others have shown unprecedented support this year, and we will use this event to recognize them for their generosity, and to show them the difference their contributions are making in the community.”
