Dance Theatre of Tennessee will present a perfect capper to the Valentine season with “Aspects of Love," a celebration of dance, music and love that handles all matters of the heart.
Performances will be Saturday, Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. at Harpeth Hall Auditorium (3801 Hobbs Road, Nashville, TN 37215). Each performance will be preceded by a pre-show discussion with the choreographers.
Dance Theatre of Tennessee (DTT) is the performing arm of Asian American Performing Arts Society (AAPAS), a 501 c3 charitable organization founded in 2004. “Aspects of Love” offers entertainment for both dance lovers and those who are new to the art form.
Led by longtime Nashville Principal Dancer and Artistic Director Christopher Mohnani, DTT presents an evening of several premieres. Included in the evening is “Paquita” – one of classical ballet’s most beloved pieces. A favorite among ballet companies around the world, “Paquita” offers some of the best classical ballet dancing on stage.
Other pieces in the evening include “Nuts," a humorous look into young love and relationships, and the thought-provoking piece “Two of You."
Anchoring the evening is “Aspects of Love,” a delightful romp that represents the many highs and lows of relationships between individuals and features the music of Michael Buble in the background.
Joining DTT for this celebration is Nashville’s only contemporary and concert dance company – Found Movement Group.
