Cyndi Lauper tickets go on sale at 10 a.m..

Join TEP for Fast Forward Friday tonight at Play Dance Bar beginning at 7 p.m.. They have plenty planned from an underwear auction from Designer Drawers and a twerqing contest to having The Change project on hand for photos. Cover is $10 and all proceeds benefit TEP.

Help the Nashville Grizzlies kick off their 2013-2014 season with a $10 all-you-can-drink beer bust at Tribe. Fun starts at 9 p.m..

Want to save a few bucks and still have a great dinner? Nashville Restaurant Week is still going on through Sunday!

Neil Diamond fans will want to check out Theron Denson who's better known as The Black Diamond, a Neil Diamond tribute performer, Friday night at Marathon Music Works. Denson is celebrating the release of his biography Black Diamond: The Real Illusion. Thinking about a remodeling project this weekend? Then head out to the Murfreesboro New Home and Remodeling Show. The event takes place Saturday and Sunday. The New Home & Remodeling Show features the latest in new construction trends as well as the finest in remodeling techniques for any upcoming home improvement project. Admission is $9.

Do you feel 'Brave?' You should because singer-songwriter (and strong ally) Sara Bareilles is taking the stage Saturday night at The Ryman. The show is sold out so if you don't have tickets, keep your eyes on Craigslist and Stubhub for last minute deals.

Underwear is the theme for this weekend's Bear Chested at Canvas Lounge. The event begins at 9 and there is no cover.

80s babies rejoice because Huey Lewis and the News takes the stage at The Schermerhorn Symphony center Sunday night. With so many hits, it's bound to be an enjoyable evening. Tickets are still available.

Yoga is back at OutCentral. Join Mary Irby Tuesdays beginning at 5:45 for a 75-minute blend of Hatha Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation based on the Eight Limbs of Yoga. Drop in price is $10 and will increase to $15 in September but you can purchase a 6 pack for $60 (must be used within 9 weeks).

Frist Center members will enjoy a special Hoods Up event Tuesday August 27. Frist Center members will have the opportunity to look under some of the hoods and inside some of the interiors of the automobiles featured in Sensuous Steel: Art Deco Automobiles.

Join members of the community Thursday night at OutCentral for a special film screening of Taking Our Chances, an ethnographic documentary that explores the sexual culture, attitudes, and choice-making of 21 young gay men in San Francisco. Director will be on hand for discussion as well as free HIV testing from Project Uno.
