Hey gang,

The Preds opening game (and the one Saturday night) turned out to be quite a let down. Yes, it was a high scoring game, but…they were still on the losing end! Let’s hope this is NOT a trend  for this city! Hey, maybe “HEAD STOMPER” (Haynesworth’s new nickname, of course) should sign on with the Preds. There is talk of throwing him out of the NFL anyway. At least in Hockey they won’t look down on him so hard, hell, sometimes the ref’s just stand there and watch them go at it! He could probably give new meaning to the term “hat-trick”.

Johnny’s ‘surprise birthday party’ was only a surprise in the sense as to who might really show up. (mostly just the ‘usual suspects’) with the exception of Candy who looked like she just flew in from Scotland (isn’t that where they wear those ‘kilts’?) I must admit she appeared terribly offended when I called it a skirt!)heehee And LC, (which stands for LOSER, in pool) who arrived with Al. If anyone knows anything about me, it’s that I sure don’t like to brag, (ahem) but I was ‘almost’ unbeatable at pool that night. It was sad (to some) to watch Lil Tina throw in her stick after her devastating loss, claiming she was just too tired to play. LC was caught trying to cheat, by Doc, it’s too bad though, because she was showing such great promise, before her untimely downfall.

I have discovered that the bongo is one of the most ‘dangerous’ instruments to play. (I’m sure Stampy can back me up on this one) The knot on my head has given me a whole new meaning to “head-banging”! Still not sure WHY I thought it would be a good idea, but I must have at the time. (I was probably looking for a new sound) The ‘Rubberbands’ had an opening act called,  “SCOTCHTAPES”. (see photo below) They were a "wind instrument band" in more ways than one!

I took the "Whitland House Tour" this past weekend. There were some amazing houses in that area. My favorite was the Jeff Lynch Home. It is a tri-level house that has been totally re-done in modern decor. It was exceptional! For more info on this tour and to view photos, check out the outandaboutnashville.com website.

The upcoming Oct. 27, the Belcourt Benefit Show that Bonnie & Jen are putting together is going to be excellent! Bonnie Baker and Jen Foster were on the, ‘Out and About Today Show’ talking about the cause and the guest list. She also said there were going to be some ‘surprise guests’. It’s going to be a great night of music, for a good cause.

Well kids, that’s all I have for you this week, is it ever enough?
