Tuesday Night was Dining Out Nashville Night/Kris’ Big NON Surprise Party Night at Goldie’s Diner. (see photos) It was quite fun. Renee set up the Dining Out Event, as usual, she just gives and gives! The food was good, I was told it was a Jewish Deli, but for some strange reason Kris was passing around a “Bible Coloring Book”! I think I was converted to Judaism just by sitting in the ‘Jewish Section’, before the dinner was over I was worrying about EVERYTHING….including whether my socks matched my underwear or not!! Bev is doing much better, she has been released to drive and continue on with life.

I Checked out the Nashville Zoo this week. After all, the land was donated to Nashville by two ‘sistas’! Ok, ok..maybe they weren’t THOSE kind of sisters, but hey, it was still an interesting story.  You can learn quite a bit from hanging out with the animals for a day. (I know SOME of you may be thinking you have learned quite a lot from the animals you spent the NIGHT with, right?) Come on now, DON’T go there!! It is nice the way they try to keep the animals in a natural environment. I can remember going to the zoo when I was young and seeing the poor animals stuck in those tiny cages. It ALMOST scarred me for life! I did particularly enjoy watching the elephants, they were quite fun. One of them was carrying a volleyball around in his trunk. (I’d like to see Debbie, ‘MS. VOLLEYBALL’ to us, take her on!!) One more ‘helpful hint’ about the zoo, if you go into the petting area, DON’T pick up the black coal pellets!! (it is NOT coal! OR black olives!) just trying to help you guys out!heehee (To see more photos of the zoo check out my column @ outandaboutnashville.com)

Caught the movie, ‘In the Land of Women’ this week. It was ok, I didn’t find it as wonderful as ELLEN did, but there were some moments in it. I shall give it 2.5 VALSTARS. Cause, all I know is that, IF I were in the land of women, things would have certainly turned out, quite differently! Whoo-hoo!
NEW  YORK, NY, Sony Music/Columbia Records’ Music With a Twist label has teamed up with the LGBT social-networking site, GLEE.com (Gay. Lesbian. & Everyone Else), to discover the brightest unsigned music talent on the Web. This unique partnership gives GLEE.com members a chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity to be scouted by the record industry’s leading player in this niche market.

The Music Channel on GLEE.com is a unique section that allows members to showcase their talent by uploading their music so users, fans, and now Sony Music/Columbia Records music executives can scout for the best new talent. Whether it’s pop, R&B or country, LGBT artists from various genres will have a chance to achieve commercial success.

In the coming months, Music With a Twist A&R reps will be looking to GLEE.com for artists to sign and join the ranks of other Music With a Twist artists, such as Kirsten Price (whose single “Magic Tree” was used for promotion of the new season of Showtime’s hit, The L Word) and the much-touted punk trio The Gossip.
