The POISON BARGE sailed out to the fireworks on the lake last Tuesday night (see photos). It’s a good thing they were shown the night before the 4th, as our captain probably would have had to stay ashore. (See Nissa’s injury below.)
At least this year the police boat didn’t RAM US! It was a nice night to be on the lake, a nice breeze, thousands of boats around us and Al performing her "belly dance lessons"! (Talk about "rockin’ the boat"!) heehee… Speaking of which, Al went into the 4th of July with a BIG bang! She ended up in the hospital to have gall bladder surgery! One night we are all on the POISON BARGE viewing the fireworks on the lake and the next day she is hugging the bushes (and I am talking about the ones in the yard). I still maintain it was that $6 belly dancing lesson she took…and was showing us right before the fireworks went off. I think she shook something loose. If only she had gone to the $12 class instead! It’s good to know that she came though the operation with flying colors.
Get well wishes go out to Nissa who has torn some ligaments in her leg playing water volleyball. It’s a good thing she is going to become a physical therapist, cause we all sure could use the help! Now, WHO tears their ligaments in the pool? Isn’t that where they send you to HEAL those types of injuries? I am not so sure that Lil Tina didn’ t have SOMETHING to do with this, since we all know she will do ANYTHING to win! And she CAN hold her breath for a long time. Nissa didn’t you see or feel ANYTHING suspicious under the water? LOL…
Chalk up another victory for the paper. OUT & ABOUT NEWSPAPER is back in Harris Teeter Stores again as well as Kroger! Read that story in the Tennessee News section.
Sorry to hear that someone has been "hacking" Steff’s MySpace site. I am sure that is a real pain in the a%#! Does this mean you can’t please all the people all the time? Now, I ask you….WHO DOESN’T LOVE STEFF?
THIS JUST IN FROM VAL REYNOLDS:
Saturday thousands of religious fundamentalists marched from Centennial Park to the Titan’s Stadium. They chose to go down Church St. because that is Nashville’s Gay business district. Led by Lou Engle they are evangelicals who are anti-abortion and anti-gay.
They are very focused on "the sexual revolution" and believe the downfall of our nation started in San Francisco’s 1967 summer of love. Don’t try to make sense of it…I’m just repeating what I found on his website. I’m sure they didn’t get what they expected from the "queers." It was no accident they chose that route for the march. Thanks to the guys at OUTLOUD, the gays served them water! It was pretty cool!
An acre of performance is worth a whole world of promise.
