Well, Miss Marples Dinner Theater turned out to be quite fun, even though it wasn’t exactly what I thought it would be. It is located inside a large room where when you walk in there are 3 large tables. Our salads were already waiting for us and we brought our own wine, which saved us considerably. The salads were good, but I wanted bread with mine and was told that bread is served with the dinner. Now anyone that knows me KNOWS I LOVE me some bread! So, that was more than a little let down! I thought Billy (who was part of the wait staff, mind you) was going to have a fit when I asked about the bread and then complained, because we couldn’t have any till dinner, It was almost enough to create a murder mystery INSIDE the mystery theater! I think Colonel Mustard (Billy) did it with a butter knife in the kitchen!! The play was fun although I think I must have drunk too much because it was hard for me to keep up after a while. Maybe it was because I had to wait too long for my dinner and was drinking on an empty stomach? (with the exception of the salad of course) I KNOW I must have been drunk when I looked up and saw Al and Gilligan doing a duet together! (see photo) Could this be why they wanted OFF the island??
They give you, ‘Miss Marples Money’ so that you can then bribe the cast and wait staff…hmm maybe I should have thought of BRIBING Billy for the bread! They also tell you that you can steal money from the other tables if you get the chance. (I didn’t realize they meant the MISS MARPLE’S MONEY!!) No wonder the other patrons were pissed!! In the end we ended up winning, because Al bribed Ginger with a piece of birthday cake that Pega had made for her. So, as the grand winners we were deputized with sheriffs badges. (I am sure they will come in handy for our next western party) As for WHO DONE IT? Well, all I really remember about that was something about Mrs. Howell doing it with the penguins…hmmm…come to think of it, WHERE did the penguins come from anyway? I never saw them on the island, did you? And …I am still not sure just exactly WHAT she did do with them.
Afterward, we all went to TRIBE for a while. When we entered, the door guy told us to keep our badges hidden! Can you beleive it? Like we would be mistaken for the ‘po-po’!! I will say though, it didn’t take the ‘po-po’ to discover the cast from Miss Marple’s at TRIBE! YES, that’s right, they were there. The place was packed and as far as I remember we were dancing and having a gay ole time! I think it was about this time that Mich decided to drive us home! Thank you!! After all we DID have to go to church in the morning!!! Dance with the devil Saturday night as long as you drag your ass to church come Sunday morning , right?
For those of you interested, we still haven’t heard from Nashville Lifestyle Magazines about Simon yet, but just take a look at this photo of him and ask yourselves…HOW can he not be on the cover??
