TurnAbout returns to Play on March 31

Nashville Pride has announced the return of TurnAbout, to be held at Play Dance Club in Nashville on Friday, March 31, from 9 – 11 p.m.

The event features Play bartenders, Nashville Pride Board members, and other community favorites performing as their drag alter egos.

“This is one of my favorite Pride events because all of us – the performers – are amateurs. Everyone donates their time and their tips,” said Todd Grantham, Nashville Pride president. “It’s a great way to have fun and support Pride, and see your friends in drag!”

All proceeds from the event will benefit Nashville Pride, a nonprofit organization which seeks to support the Middle Tennessee GLBT community by producing the annual Pride Festival and Pride Week, as well as a Youth Scholarship program.

Nashville Pride encourages all community members to attend the next Pride meeting, scheduled for Monday, March 27, at 6:00 p.m. at Tribe.

“We need volunteers to help plan and run Pride Week, the Parade, and the Festival,” said Jeanna Emert, Pride vice president. “We also need input from the community on nominees for this year’s Grand Marshal and Community Service Award winner.
