On Wednesday, August 16, the Tennessee Transgender Political Action Committee (TTPAC) joins three other pro-equality groups to host a reception at the annual convention of the National Conference of State Legislatures at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville. People for the American Way, Human Rights Campaign, and the Tennessee Equality Project will come together to meet with elected officials from across the nation to discuss equal rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) people.
The reception will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in Delta Rooms A, B and C. It will be preceeded at 4:30 p.m. by the movie, “A Blinding Flash of the Obvious,” produced by People for the American Way, showing how the voters of Cincinnati overturned a discriminatory amendment to the City Charter.
The Tennessee Transgender Political Action Committee (TTPAC) is an organization designed to educate and advocate on behalf of transgender related legislation at the federal, state and local levels. TTPAC is dedicated to raising public awareness and building alliances with other organizations concerned with equal rights legislation.
