Theatre Series gears up for premier

Producing director for Nashville Stages, Kaine Riggan, is bringing us the off-Broadway hit "Naked Boys Singing," as part of the Out and About Theater Series. Nashville Stages has recently partnered with Out and About to bring the Theater Series to Nashville in 2007.

Productions sprung from this marriage include "SITCOM," starring Calpernia Addams and Bianca Paige as the same characters that Nashville loved in Riggan’s original comedy series which debuted at Play in 2005. "SITCOM" will run May 16 through 19 at TPAC.

"The Rocky Horror Show" (tentatively slated for TPAC) is also a part of this series. Fall in love with Frankenfurter and the rest of the Transylvanian Transsexuals all over again! Check out for more information about the shows.

And, of course, "Naked Boys Singing" will run March 1 through 17 at Marathon Village, 1305 Clinton (11th Ave. North, Downtown Nashville), and is now in the seventh year of it’s off-Broadway run. Check out for more information about the show.

Local auditions were held, but few actors were cast for "Naked" because "it is definitely harder to be naked in front of those you work with and are around all the time," says Riggan. "We went to L.A. and cast eight of the ten parts there. Everyone has fabulous voices."
