This month, on her latest recording project, a veteran singer/songwriter channels a ventriloquist’s versatility.
Grammy-nominated, rootsy R&B singer/songwriter Meshell Ndegeocello – who will play City Winery on Mar. 19 – dropped her twelfth LP on the 16th, an album of 11 covers crafted to create a space in which to “take refuge from one storm too many.” A portion of the profits from the record will be donated to the ACLU.
