OutLoud! sets customer-appreciation day for June 20


OutLoud! Bookstore will hold its annual “Customer Appreciation Day” on June 20 from noon to 5 p.m.

The festivities will include free hot dogs and chips, a sidewalk sale, activities for children, a sidewalk sale, savings on books and merchandise, and more.

The event also will feature local author readings and local musicians. Writers scheduled to read include Chip Tullar, author of "G.B. Duck’s Autobiography: Recipes for Life," (1 p.m.), J.R. Deweese, author of "To Be Loved, Because It Was Forbidden (2 p.m.), and Abby Dees, author of “Queer Questions, Straight Talk” (3 p.m.), while musicians who will be performing include Matthew Temple (1:30 p.m.), Susan Alexander (3 p.m.) and Gordon Roque (4 p.m.).
