To mark its second anniversary, OutCentral Cultural Center has established Autumn Honors, an annual event to honor the cultural achievements of GLBT Nashvillians.

“OutCentral exists to promote GLBT culture,” said OutCentral board chair Jason Fletcher. “This event will spotlight some of the most important achievements being made right here at home.”

Autumn Honors will acknowledge individuals who have made a difference in visual and performing arts, literature and journalism, fashion, cuisine, philanthropy, education and athletics, according to the center. The inaugural class of recipients will be announced in late September or early October.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, Nov. 4, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the home of Jon Glassmeyer and Scott Ridgway in East Nashville, and will include dishes from several local restaurants as well as a signature cocktail from mixologist Galen Johnson.

Tickets for Autumn Honors are on sale for $20, and are available at www.nowplayingnashville.com, as well as through OutCentral, its board of directors and also at the door.

The awards’ presenting sponsor is The Village Fund. Event sponsors include Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network, Red Pony Restaurant, b.Merry, Nashville Cupcake Factory, Artrageous, B&C Market BBQ & Gourmet Catering, Salon Bouge, Jive! Print Factory, and Stirrup Nashville.
