Openly gay Metro employee weds partner

Days after Mayor Karl Dean highlighted domestic partner benefits in his State of Metro address, openly gay Metro employee Keith Durbin married his long-time partner in California.

Durbin, who became the first openly gay city councilman in 2007, currently serves as the head of the Metro Information Technology Services.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Durbin announced that 19 years after meeting his partner Gary Bynum in Nashville, the two were wed in Sonomo County.
