Another work week is almost over and it's time for the O&AN GLBT Best Bets Calendar. Check out what's going on in town starting tomorrow.

Friday August 16

GLBT Best Bets kicks off with The Brooks Fund Wanderlust Party. Visit Honolulu, Shanghai, Paris and Rio De Janiero without stepping outside of Nashville. Plus, Wanderlust helps raise money for local LGBT organizations. For more information, click here.

Not up for the 'travel' then check out Showtime with Patsy Cline presented by the Piano Society of Nashville. Be entertained by cast and friends of the feature film Patsy. The event will take place at Celebrity Centre (1130 8th Ave. S) from 7 – 9 p.m.. This event is free but RSVPs are encouraged. Please email Jaz Dorsey at dramaturgtn@gmail.com

Saturday August 17

Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition (TTPC) hosts its statewide Summer Meeting on Saturday August 17. TTPC will discuss many issues including the status of the Federal Employment Non Discrimination Act (ENDA), numerous bills in the Tennessee General Assembly, including TTPC's birth certificate, safe school, non discrimination, and hate crimes bills, along with various discriminatory bills that came up in 2013, as well as updates on various local efforts across the state. The Summer Meeting will take place at West Nashville United Methodist Church (4710 Charlotte Avenue) beginning at 6 p.m.. 

Join the Nashville Primetimers as they kick off their new monthly event, Breakfast with the Primetimers. This month's inaugural restaurant will be Noshville (1918 Broadway) and will begin at 8:30 a.m.. Please contact wresh@comcast.net to RSVP.

Also on Saturday, for the first time, The Night Market is happening at the Nashville Farmer's Market. Beginning at 5 p.m., many of the vendors who only come on Saturdays will be staying late for this event. Stroll the Farmer's Market and visit with local farmers as well enjoy beer and wine (21+) and special menus from NFM restaurants. For more information, click here.

With his smash debut album and follow up in tow, Bruno Mars brings the Unorthodox jukebox tour to Nashville at Bridgestone Arena. Known for hits such as "grenade," "If I Was Your Man" and "The Lazy Song", Mars will rock Nashville with his doo-wop, R&B pop. Tickets are still available from Ticketmaster.

Sunday August 18

80s babies rejoice. Street Theatre Company (STC) host their annual fundraiser Sunday August 18. Dancin' in the Streets: A Totally 80s Prom Night  is taking place at Street Theatre (1933 Elm Pike) beginning at 6 p.m.. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. For more information, click here.

Monday August 19

A BBQ queen, a socialite, a tour of homes and a murder – that's what's cookin' in Atlanta playwright Hilary King's new comedy, Death & Interior Decoration. If you're in the mood for some good old Southern screwball comedy, then make sure you attend The Metro Nashville Parks Theatre Department's New Play Reading Series. The reading begins at 7 p.m. at The Centennial Black Box Theatre. This event is free but seating is limited so RSVP to Jaz Dorsey dramaturgtn@gmail.com
