Backstreet Boy Nick Carter will perform at Nashville’s Cannery Ballroom Monday, Jan. 30 in support of his new album I’m Taking Off.
Carter’s most recent performance in Nashville came last summer when Bridgestone Arena played host to the New Kids on the Block/Backstreet Boys tour. For now, he’s focused on his own burgeoning solo career. I’m Taking Off explores a variety of moods and musical styles.
“It has songs about love, happiness, the sad parts of love—it’s got some dance tracks on it. You can play it for
your loved one or you can play it in the club," Carter says.
The first single, “Just One Kiss,” is an uptempo hit about a struggling relationship. “There are
probably a lot of people in this world that have had this situation,” says Carter, who wrote the
song with Dan Muckala and Jason Ingram. “Someone has fallen out of love with them and they
want that one last try, even though they’ve messed up. The guy in the song is basically admitting
his faults and asking for that one last chance.”
Tickets for the concert are on sale now at Ticketweb for $27.50.
