Nashville Pride hosts annual pageant

Who will be named the reigning drag king and queen for 2008-2009 at the annual Nashville Pride Pageant?

That question will soon be answered as one of Nashville’s most popular pageants gets underway on Sunday, May 18, at Play Dance Bar.

“Past year’s winners have included Bianca Paige, Taylor St. James, Racquel Scott, Trinity Monroe, DaKota St. James, Stephanie Wells, Mya Campbell, Geri A. Ellington, and the late Katrina Avalon,” said Joshua Baker, chairman and producer of the Pride Pageant. “We expect more wonderful entertainers to emerge from this year’s pageant, so please come out and support this year’s winners, Nashville Pride, and most importantly, yourself.”

The pageant will start at 8 p.m. with special guests “The Punk Phunk Phairytale” The Princess; DeeRanged, the reigning Miss National Entertainer of the Year; “The Oriental Goddess” Regine Phillips; “The Ebony Goddess” Chyna; Daisy Rae Welch “Big Mama”; 2007 Miss Gay Pride Ariana La’Moire’ and 2007 Mr. Gay Pride Damien Payne.
