Nashville Pride Announces 2006 Festival Theme Competition

Nashville Pride has begun the search for the 2006 Pride Festival theme and is excited to announce the first Festival Theme Competition.

"Each year, the Festival theme exemplifies one of the many positive aspects of the event," said Pride President Todd Grantham. "Last year’s theme, Proud to Be…, showcased the diversity in our community. Going into this upcoming legislative year, it makes sense that our overarching message for 2006 is equality, so we’re looking for a Festival theme which expresses that best."

The person who submits the winning theme will be awarded a $100 Grand Prize as well as recognition in the 2006 Pride Guide. Community members must submit their theme together with their name and contact information by February 15th to [email protected] in order to compete for the Grand Prize. Multiple submissions are welcome. Current board members of Nashville Pride, Inc., are not eligible to win.

All community members are invited to join us at the 2006 Pride Festival and Parade, scheduled for June 3, 2006 in Nashville’s Centennial Park.
