Conceived as a fun community event to benefit a very worthy rugby charity on Saint Patrick’s Day weekend (Saturday, March 16, 2019), the Nashville Grizzlies’ 1st Annual Green Games combines the competitiveness of intramural sports with enough beer, wine, & cocktail coolers to drown a small village!

The team invites you to “Join us as a diverse group of folks get silly for a day & compete in teams of four for some amazing prizes in six fun, boozy events!” Those events include: Big Wheel Drag Race Relay; Giant Beerpong; Blind Volleyball; Dizzy Neck-it Relay; Chill ‘n’ Chug Showdown; and Hungry, Hungry Trashed Hippos

And what all does your registration include?

  • Two Free beverages per contestant provided by sponsors Yazoo Brewery, Pickers Vodka, and Love & Exile Wines at SandBar
  • A special 1st Annual Grizzlies Green Games commemorative gift for each contestant
  • A guaranteed good time and the chance to compete for some cool prizes!

Between the boozie games and the alcohol laden freebies, this sounds like an interesting way to kick off Saint Patrick’s Day festivities!

Registration will be held at  SandBar  (3 City Ave Suite 500, Nashville, TN 37209) from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon). You can pay for your entry at the Eventbrite page for the event. Registration is $25 per person, so bring your team of 4, or teams can be assigned on the day of the event to encourage new friendships! The event will go until approximately 3PM.

Proceeds benefit the Nashville Grizzlies Rugby Football Club, a nonprofit USA Rugby Division III club of socially and ethnically diverse guys learning and teaching a great sport, getting good exercise, and giving back to the community.
