Laverne Cox says she is not a role model but a 'possibility model'
Orange is the New Black trans star Laverne Cox wowed a standing room only audience in Nashville during Vanderbilt University's Office of LGBTQI Life's National Coming Out Week Celebration in October, so we're already familiar with how well spoken Cox is but now the rest of the world knows it too!
Cox was joined by Carmen Carrera and spotlighted as Transgender Trailblazers on Monday's episode of Katie. While Cox delivered, quite simply, the most amazing reply when asked by Katie Couric asked Cox whether she considers herself a role model, Carrera also talked about her quest to become the first trans Victoria's Secret Angel. Both activists talked to Couric and shared there was more to the trans-experience than transition stories and genitalia. See Cox's segment below:

New Shakira and Rihanna single artwork disappoints
Shakira hasn't cracked the Hot 100 Top Ten as a solo artist since 2001 although high profile collaborations ("Hip Don't Lie featuring Wyclef and "Beautiful Liar" with Beyonce) and a metering a season of NBC's The Voice have managed to keep Shakira on a radar. So we were pumped when Shakira announced her new single "Can't Remember to Forget You" was a duet with Rihanna and would be released January 13. We just hope it's better than the lackluster artwork:
Already we're thinking . . . wait we forgot. The cover is pretty weak.
