Nashville Fire Department to accept applications for fire recruit on March 19



The Nashville Fire Department will be accepting applications for the position of Fire Recruit beginning March 19 – April 13 on-line at or you may bring your documentation to the Metro Nashville Fire Academy, Monday through Friday from 8:00AM – 3:00PM (2601 Buena Vista Pike, Nashville, TN 37218) during the application period for assistance. Applicants must bring the required documents to the Fire Training Academy when scheduled for the written exam.


·        Copy of High School Diploma or GED

·        Copy of US Birth Certificate or naturalization Certificate (must be 21 years of age)

·        Copy of Valid Driver’s license

·       Copy of Social Security Card

Must be able to pass all training, medical requirements, background investigation and drug screening.

A Fire recruit may be assigned to any bureau within the Fire Department (Fire/EMS Bureau, Paramedic/EMS Bureau, etc.) Even if assigned to the Fire/EMS Bureau, the majority of calls will be dealing with emergency medical services.

Preparation Guides for the written exam may be purchased for $3.00 at the Metro Fire Training Academy after March 19, 2007
