Jasper Hendricks III, a native of Farmville, Virginia, is joining the Nashville CARES team as its new Director of Advocacy and Public Policy.
Hendricks attended Prince Edward County Public Schools before majoring in political science at Norfolk State University. Before joining Nashville CARES, Jasper was a project coordinator at Parthenon Management Group based in Brentwood, where he organized Mom Congress, an advocacy effort to improve maternal care in the United States.
Prior to moving to Nashville, Jasper had a long career in public service in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area by serving as an outreach adviser to presidential & congressional campaigns since 2000, senior aide to three Members of Congress, National Director of Youth and College Voter Empowerment at the NAACP, and as National Director of Field and Political Programs at the National Black Justice Coalition. Jasper’s proudest accomplishment was being elected to serve as a member of the U.S. Electoral College where he was one of 535 people in the country to cast a vote for President of the United States in 2016.
