Nashville CARES announces Sanford Bloch Memorial Fund

On Oct. 20, Sanford Bloch passed away due to a series of AIDS-related illnesses. Bloch was the life partner of Joseph Interrante, CEO of Nashville CARES, who has dedicated his life to HIV/AIDS prevention, care and advocacy. Diagnosed with AIDS in 1992, he moved with Interrante to Nashville when the latter became CEO in 1994. They had been together for over 25 years.

The Nashville CARES Board of Directors and staff will honor Sandy’s memory with creation of the Sanford Bloch Memorial Fund for Direct Services. Despite much progress, Bloch’s death reminds us that the fight against AIDS is far from over. Your gift to his memorial fund will help continue the vital services that helped him deal with the challenges of living with AIDS.
