The devil may be in the details, but so is the fun according to the co-chairs of Freshly Unpredictable, a fashion show and silent auction benefiting the Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce.
So far, one local retailer and a local designer have signed on to send their styles down the runway during the event on Sunday, April 25.
For a second year, Nashville Clothing Co. is participating with their unique, eco-conscious fashions. Sharing the runway will be designer Sheika Taylor who plans to debut some of her original designs under her label, Verandeno, which she creates with butch lesbians in mind. She said her apparel will be available at OutLoud Bookstore soon.
"Momentum is building and we’ve had several fantastic auction items donated including a set of Bridgestone tires," said event co-chair Jerry Jones.
Also just announced, the winner of the Freshly Unpredictable underwear contest will receive $500 cash prize. See related story below for more information.
Applications for the contest are being accepted through March 31 and voting will run April 1 through midnight on April 16 at outandaboutnewspaper.com. Visit unpredictablenashville.com for full contest details.
Freshly Unpredictable will be held at Play Dance Bar (1517 Church St.) on Sunday, April 25, and will be hosted by Daisy Rae Welch.
The silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. and models will hit the runway at 7 p.m. General admission tickets will cost $30 at the door or $25 in advance. Tickets for VIP runway seating are limited and cost $60.
The event organizers are still looking for retailers to participate as well as items for the silent auction.
