Metro Council candidate Glasgow plans campaign kickoff

The campaign kickoff for David Glasgow, candidate for Metro Council District 18, will be held at the home of Lisa and Matt Wiltshire on Sunday, March 6 from 3-4:30 p.m.

Glasgow ran for the District 18 seat in the special election two years ago, finishing third behind Kristine LaLonde and Stephenie Dodson.

Glasgow serves as Communications Director for the state office of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development. In 2009 he was appointed by Mayor Dean to serve on the Metro Tourism and Convention Commission and in 2010 by Council Member Kristine LaLonde as a Metro Environment and Beautification Commissioner for District 18. He also serves as Chair of the Metro Tree Advisory Committee.

Glasgow and partner Van Pond, Jr. support numerous community organizations including St. Luke’s Community House, Nashville CARES, Tennessee Conservation Voters, Greenways for Nashville, SoundForest.org and many others.

Council elections will be held Tuesday, August 4.
