In a move to restructure the organization’s short-term leases and mortgage holdings, Nashville’s Mad Donna’s Restaurant is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Both the restaurant and entertainment space will remain open during the reorganization.

“Mad Donna’s has been a fixture in East Nashville since 2008,” said co-owner Rachel Fontenot in a press release. “In the last few weeks we’ve introduced new menu offerings and daily specials and we still intend to offer our loyal clients the same great food and fun they’ve enjoyed for nearly three years.”

Mad Donna’s has recently experienced difficulty securing refinancing for the building’s mortgage. The company is seeking mortgage refinancing or investors to continue serving customers.

“It’s business as usual at Mad Donna’s,” Fontenot said. “Management and staff will remain a part of the Mad Donna’s family and we’ll continue to maintain an excellent relationship with our vendors.“
