Lucky’s Garage will host a one-night art show by Nashville’s Untitled artists’ group on Dec. 15 titled ‘Missiletoe.”
The one-night-only event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. and will feature new painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media from some of the city’s most innovative visual artists.
Richard Harman, better know to Out & About Newspaper readers as “Cosmo Shitay”, will DJ background music for the event. Lucky’s provides a free pasta buffet during happy hour on Fridays, and some additional snacks may be available.
Lucky’s is located at 14th and Church Street. ‘Missiletow’ is the latest in a series of quarterly exhibitions produced by the Untitled group including ‘Bloom’, ‘Heat’, and ‘Concrete’.
Previous shows by the Untitled artists have included the work of up to 100 artists, and attract several hundred people. Admission is free, and the public is invited to meet and mingle with the artists and view their work. Patrons may purchase artwork by cash, check or charge and may take their pieces home with them that evening. Artists interested in participating may visit the group’s Web site at www.myspace.com/untitlednashville or email [email protected] before December 8.
Untitled is comprised of over several hundred Nashville artists, including exhibiting artists and staff from Zeitgeist, Dangenart, Plowhaus, Twist Gallery, (fov) gallery and others as well as art faculty and students from Watkins College of Art and Design, Belmont University, Vanderbilt University and MTSU.
Founded in 1991, Untitled is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to offering alternative visual arts experiences in the Nashville community. The artists are a culturally diverse group working democratically outside the traditional gallery scene.
