‘Lion King’ to Roar Onto Nashville Stage

The hit Broadway musical “The Lion King” is coming to Nashville.

The stage version of the Disney favorite hits the stage at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, October 26 through December 3.

Single tickets for "The Lion King" go on sale Saturday morning.

Reginald Wilson was the first and only person in line Friday afternoon. He was sure why he wanted the tickets.

"For my daughters. We have the soundtrack. We have the DVD, and I heard the play is spectacular, so I wanted to get tickets for opening night," Wilson said.

They’ll first be available at TPAC’s downtown box office at 7 a.m. There will be refreshments, and the first 100 ticket buyers will get a "Lion King" CD. Everyone else gets a "Lion King" T-shirt.

Then at 10 a.m., you can buy tickets at www.tpac.org and any Ticketmaster location. Prices range from $27 to $78.n
