Play Dance Bar will host a PrePride Party on June 3 with entertainer Kristy Kay performing her single "I Touch Myself". Free cover will be offered from 9 to 10 p.m. along with your first Bud Select beer free. Kay will also perform on June 4 at Play.
It’s all part of the ongoing Pride Week festive atmoshpere and Play’s way of showing their support for Nashville Pride and the GLBT Community.
"We want the Middle Tennessee community to come and celebrate Pride," said Todd Roman, co-owner of Nashville’s hottest GLBT dance club. "Kristy is a great singer and will also perform at the festival. We’re honored to have her perform for our guests."
Kay, a singer & writer based in Nashville, grew up in Los Angeles.
It was also following high school that Kay started writing songs. In fact, it was her strong interest in songwriting that led her to move to Nashville in 1997.
“When I visited Nashville, I learned it was such an amazing songwriter town,” said Kay. “So I moved to Nashville and really focused on writing. I’ve been living in Nashville ever since, although I commute a lot to New York and LA for my work as a singer.”
