Village Realty team to open office in ‘gay district’ on Church Street

Nashville Real Estate Group, a team at Village Real Estate Services, will open an office at 1717B Church Street in Nashville’s burgeoning “gay district.”

Located just doors down from OutLoud!, the move is expected to happen in mid-January. Six agents comprise the Nashville Real Estate Group, including Jenn Garrett, Hyram Williams, Jane Anderson, Beth Vincent, Bobbie Noreen and Maggie Flomerfelt.

Many members on the team are no strangers to the GLBT community and the move to the Church Street Midtown district may help the team better serve the GLBT community.

“The new midtown office strengthens NRG’s growth, mission, and commitment to its customers,” explained Jenn Garrett. “Nashville Real Estate Group is now more prepared to assist and serve its clients than ever before.”

Murfreesboro gay club closes

Last month “O&AN” reported that a new gay club, The Players Club, had opened at 1409 NW Broad in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. That club has now closed.

During the day the business was a smoky barbeque joint (Smokin’ Ed’s BBQ), and at 8 p.m. the gay bar opened. It was Murfreesboro’s first gathering place for the GLBT community. The club closed because of apparent problems with a sub-lease.

Play Dance Bar adds “ice jets” to dance floor

Nashville’s Play Dance Bar, 1519 Church Street (www.playdancebar.com), has added a new ice jet system to its dance floor.

The system blows icy steam onto the dance floor, which can cool down the temperature of both hot dancers and the dance floor by as much as 20 degrees.

“It will definitely help make your dance experience the best you’ll find. There’s nothing like it in the Southeast,” explained co-owners Todd Roman and Joey Brown.

“You’ll find it only at Play.”
