The second season of “First Comes Love,” Logo’s hit reality series that follows gay and lesbian couples as they plan their dream weddings, premiered this past February just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The episode was hosted by the hilarious lesbian comic Elvira Kurt and Canadian wedding planner extraordinaire Fern Cohen and featured the story of a couple who plan to wed in two weeks, but have drained their bank account with home renovations.

Denis and Joa have been together for eleven years since meeting in Greece. They recently purchased their first home, but later found the bills stacking up with home repairs. Now the wedding is two weeks away and they have no venue, no cake, no suits, no flowers and no foyer.

Enter Elvira and Fern, who promised to help in any way they could – but soon found themselves up a creek trying to plan the perfect day with almost no budget. Then, just when things can’t seem to get worse, the couple hears the devastating news that there’s no room on the airplane to fly Joa’s family over from Germany. Elvira and Fern had their work cut out for them, but they were committed to the couple’s dream.

“First Comes Love” airs on Mondays at 9:00 p.m. (central) on LOGO, Comcast channel 166 in Middle Tennessee. Additional content and special features are available on LOGOonline.com, including a streaming version of the first episode where you can see the outcome of Denis and Joa’s nuptials if you missed the premier.
