Dream vs Lightning

The Nashville Dream will host the Oklahoma City Lightning on July 9th in the 2nd round of the NWFA playoffs. The Dream, which finished the regular season 8-0, earning 2nd seed in the Southern Conference and a 1st round bye, and a 2nd round home playoff game, will face the Lightning who easily beat the New Orleans Blaze 61-14 in the 1st round.

The stage is set for a rematch of the 2003 1st round playoff game which ended the Dream¹s season in a 21-28 loss to the Lightning. ³We wouldn¹t have wanted it any other way, stated Dream head coach Ben Eakin. It was a heartbreaking loss two years ago and has not been forgotten. We relish the chance to revenge that loss. This team is hitting stride at the just the right time. Now all we have to do is go out and execute one game at a time. The Championship game is within our reach²

The Dream will host the Lightning on July 9th at Glencliff High School. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm. The price for post-season tickets is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Group rates and youth programs are offered. Tickets are available at the gate, from the Dream office, from any Dream player or staff member, or via the Dream website.
