Daniels named Executive Director, VMG and COO for Adult Clinic Operations at Vanderbilt

Dr. Titus Daniels, M.D. MPH, MMHC has been appointed to the position of Executive Director, VMG and COO for Adult Clinic Operations at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). In this position, Dr. Daniels will provide leadership for the clinical practice operations with a principle focus on ambulatory systems and clinics to ensure patient-focused, high performance, results-oriented operations which will support the mission, vision, credo, and business operations of the adult clinical enterprise and VUMC.

He will work closely with the clinical chairs and operational leaders throughout VUMC and its schools to ensure coordinated patient care and management processes across the continuum.

In addition to his clinical work and scholarship, Dr. Daniels brings a rich background of experience and a proven capability to work as a change agent in developing support for clinical practice. He has been recognized a number of times with awards and has achieved distinction with the Vanderbilt Five Pillar Leader Award. A partial list of experiences includes work in credentialing, computerized physician order entry, information privacy and security, health record policy and development, meaningful use, pharmacy and therapeutics, medical board issue management, and quality. His most recent experience includes serving as vice chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Medicine.

He will fully assume his new role by July 1, 2015.
