Hannah Gadsby, the Australian stand-up comedian and writer of the blockbuster Netflix hit “Nanette” comes to Nashville with her new tour, Douglas at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s (TPAC) Polk Theater on June 29 & 30.
Tasmania’s own Hannah Gadsby has come to the world’s attention through her multi-award-winning stand-up show, “Nanette,” which played to sold-out houses across Australia, London, Edinburgh, New York, and Los Angeles before launching on Netflix in June. Stopping the comedy world in its tracks, “Nanette” became the first Australian Netflix Original Comedy Special, and was named “the most essential special of 2018” by The New York Times.
While Nanette was a random barista, Douglas is a very specific dog, and the only thing they have in common is they’ve inspired Hannah to put pen to paper and turn out a show you couldn’t possibly expect.
Tickets for Hannah Gadsby went on sale to the public on Friday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m. and sold so fast the second date was added. You can get your tickets at TPAC.org, by phone at 615-782-4040, and at the TPAC Box Office, 505 Deaderick St., in downtown Nashville.
