This month, as Will Shutes departs his role at O&AN, Cody Stallings has been hired as the magazine’s new director of sales, marketing, and events. O&AN thanks Will for his work and wishes him well as he moves on to the next stage of his career.
Stallings is well known in the Nashville LGBT community, but for those of you who don’t know him, has been a resident of Nashville for 8 years and has since made a name for himself as Nashville’s premier drag photographer.
Stallings moved to Nashville in 2012 to attend the Art Institute of Tennessee, Nashville, where he graduated in 2015 with his Bachelors degree in Commercial Photographic Design. After school, he started working for Play, Tribe and Suzy Wong’s, working in social media and advertising. In 2018, he left to pursue a full time creative career in photography and advertising.
He remains extremely active in Nashville’s LGBT Community whether it’s supporting friends’ shows, attending events and/or photographing events. In the coming month’s we are sure he will meet many of our advertisers and readers, so give him a big welcome to our team as well.
“Having worked with Cody for the last several years as our photographer, we know his deep connections to the LGBTQ community and the roots that he has in Nashville and Middle Tennessee,” said Jerry Jones, owner and publisher of O&AN. “He brings with him an amazing creative background that will help our advertising customers as they map out their marketing plans to reach the LGBTQ audience. We are so pleased to be able to bring him on full time as we start making plans for our biggest issue of the year, the 2020 Official Pride Guide for Nashville Pride.”
