Chattanooga PRIDE festival celebrates fifth year

The fifth annual Chattanooga PRIDE Festival Week will be Oct. 11-17, and Tennessee Valley Pride is planning a full slate of activities for the festival. The week’s events include a pot luck dinner, an interfaith worship service and a Thursday night concert featuring local musical acts.

To close the festival, the Pride Festival Block Party will be held at Miller Plaza on Sunday, Oct. 17 from 1-5 p.m. The party includes stage entertainment, food and arts and crafts vendors. A special kids’ area is a new addition this year.

The afterparty is scheduled at Chuck’s II, the city’s oldest gay bar. For more information, access the festival’s Facebook page.
