About Town Limo opens service to the gay community

Nashville Realtor Sheila D. Barnard has teamed up with Jeff Shaver to open About Town Limo Company.

Barnard, who is a realtor with Kelly Can Realty Associates, says she will continue to concentrate on real estate, with Shaver taking the lead in running About Town Limo.

The service is available 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week, for weddings, proms, birthdays, holidays, art/music events, sporting events, and even out of state travel.

“All occasions,” Barnard said. “Surprises are our specialty – we will do special themes for our clients such as balloons, flowers, colors, etc. We even will travel out of state… such as casino runs to Tunica and Metropolis, Atlanta Braves baseball games – all options are open. Or if someone is just in the doghouse… a surprise limo ride with work wonders.”

Barnard said the limo group offers lower rates than most companies, and would specialize at providing top notch service to the GLBT community.

“We really want to service our community,” she said. “We will have lower rates than most companies for our clients. Any one can mention your paper for a discount too.”

Shaver has been in the limousine business for nine years.
