All in the Family, Out & About Nashville’s monthly events and entertainment column, spotlights performances, productions and presentations by (inter)national artists in our LGBTQ family. With the snow and ice behind us, April provides a number of opportunities for Nashville-area folks to listen, laugh, screen and scream. Here are the highlights:
4/1 – Mary Gauthier plays The Bluebird Café
Seasoned Nashville-based singer/songwriter Mary Gauthier will round out the Bluebird’s “Songwriting With Soldiers Round” alongside Jay Clementi, Radney Foster and Darden Smith.
Deemed a “truly great, masterful standup” act by fellow comedian Louis C.K., Tig Notaro’s Nashville visit will mark her contribution to the second annual Wild West Comedy Festival.
4/16 – 4/25 – Nashville Film Festival
Among NaFF’s special awards is a prize for the best LGBT film. See the schedule for a complete listing.
Feminist punk rockers Sleater-Kinney will make a pit stop in the Music City as they tour No Cities to Love, their first new record in 10 years.
