The staff and patrons of Alan Gold’s Discotheque are helping area families living with HIV/AIDS by hosting Halloween events on Oct. 29 and 31. All proceeds will be donated to the clients of Nancy’s House, an HIV/AIDS resource center in Cleveland, Tenn, serving those who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS in Bradley, McMinn and Polk Counties.
On October 29, at 10:00 p.m. the discotheque will hold a "Night of the Living Dead” pageant. On October 31, beginning at 9:00 p.m. they will host a Halloween Carnival. Cover charges and tips raised at the fundraisers will go to buy Christmas presents for HIV positive families served by Nancy’s House.
“Many people with HIV are low income and do not have families to share the holiday with. These Christmas gifts from Alan Gold’s mean a lot to our clients,” said Judy Roitman, executive director of Nancy’s House.
Alan Gold’s is located at 1100 McCallie Ave. in Chattanooga, Tenn. For more information, contact Alan Gold’s at (423) 629-8080.
