The 2006 Business and Life Expo, sponsored by the Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce, drew several hundred people to LP Field. Presenting sponsors of the event were Bridgestone and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
Randall Voit and Christopher Mohnani, representing the Nashville Ballet, won the cruise that was given away. Angela Brown from AAA won the set of Bridgestone tires that was given away.
John Wade, president of the Nashville GLBT Chamber, said the event flowed very well, and had more exhibitors compared to last year. Wade was interviewed by WTVF NewsChannel 5 about the event, which aired it on their evening and 10 p.m. newscast.
"We had 57 exhibitors reserve booths this year compared to 50 last year." he said.
Wade estimated the attendance at 500 to 600 people.
"Attendance was down this year, possibly because of the very good weather," he said. "I estimate we had 500-600 in attendance vs. 800+ last year."
Exhibitors seemed pleased at the ability to spend time with members of the GLBT, he said.
"Polling many exhibitors, several told me they got some great business leads," Wade said.
Open auditions were also held for Nashville Stages and their upcoming Out & About Theater series.
